Scientists Discover Fusarium commune: A New Wheat-Protecting Endophyte Against Fusarium Head Blight
Researchers from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences have identified Fusarium commune strain G3-29, a novel fungal endophyte that protects wheat from Fusarium graminearum, the pathogen behind Fusarium head blight (FHB). This eco-friendly biocontrol approach significantly reduces disease severity and enhances plant growth.
