Nanotechnology Turns Medicinal Plant Oils into Natural Herbicides for Sustainable Saffron Farming
Researchers at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad developed nanoemulsion-based herbicides using essential oils from clove, cinnamon, ajwain, and perovskia. These natural formulations achieved over 90% weed desiccation within seven days, offering an eco-friendly alternative for sustainable saffron weed control.
